What to Eat? - Lickety’s Taro-Coconut Ice Cream!

On a recent jaunt to Singapore, I headed over to Haji Lane on a tip from my bschool buddy. A hip little district redolent of local flavor, it juxtaposed traditional muslin mosques with entrepreneurs working on the next “new thing.”

Having had a hearty lunch, every inhalation was filled with regret as the smell of perfectly roasted meat greeted me. Then I saw the impeccable storefront of Lickety Ice Cream & Waffles. At last, something I had room for! As a recovering ice cream entrepreneur / addict, I was completely blown away by their ice cream. Launched in summer of 2017, this newcomer to Haji Lane serves up their offering in waffle cones made of egglets. It’s the only ice cream so good, I couldn’t stop eating it after an initial bite. Indeed, I can’t say enough good things, and judging by the number of posts a casual google search turns up, neither can the rest of the world.

THE DEETS: Like many of Singapore’s thriving businesses, the shop does not appear to have a homepage. Instead they interact with their fanbase using social media through FB (messenger) and INSTA linked below:

Reminiscent of chewy mochi, the cone comes in original, red velvet, or for the decisively split - half and half!
